Description of taskUnder the direction and direct supervision of the Program Specialist or his / her staff, the National UNV Project Management and Coordination Specialist will provide support in the following areas:
Support for project management:Coordinate the implementation of project activities with the various teams at the UNDP country office, partners and other stakeholders while ensuring the integration of considerations relating to disasters, climate change, human rights and gender in the actions implemented.Provide administrative and logistical support in the preparation of missions, meetings and other consultations in countries.Contribute to the development or improvement of ToRs and other technical documents relating to project activities.Provide research support and technical advice on policy and program support by responding to the needs of regional and country offices related to the project.Prepare a variety of written materials, as required (for example, project documents, concept notes, briefing notes and talking points).Set up a dynamic data collection system to ensure that the results of the project are measured regularly and propose the necessary corrections.Ensure the proper implementation of the project at the national level, in accordance with the work plans, by contributing to the achievement of the expected results and the impact of the project, in collaboration with the UNDP teams and in compliance with its rules and procedures.Reports, and monitoring and evaluation:
Collect, synthesize and monitor information on the progress made in the implementation of the project, in accordance with the UNDP portfolio on DRR, climate change and resilience at the national level.Analyze documents and reports submitted by implementing partners and ensure that they are of good quality.Coordinate reporting on DRR, climate change and resilience (e.g. annual reports, donor reports, monthly; semi-annual and annual progress reports, etc.)Put in place mechanisms to ensure a good flow of information on the implementation of projects between the national and regional levels.Provide regular information / data for updating UNDP communication platforms.Provide inputs for the preparation of project reports (including monthly, quarterly and annual reports).Participate in the various meetings relating to the project and take part in all relevant initiatives related to the project and implemented by the partners involved.Inform the national and regional teams of any delay in the implementation of project activities and suggest ways of reorienting the activities in question.Coordination of stakeholders and creation of partnerships:
Ensure the effective participation and ownership of all stakeholders in the various activities at the national level.Facilitate regular exchanges between key partners and stakeholders at the national level to inform them of the progress of the project and seek alignment with complementary initiatives.Support the development of effective partnerships and working relationships with UNDP partners, including UN agencies, implementing partners, government institutions, technical and financial partners, bilateral and multilateral donors, CSOs and the private sector.Contribute to the preparation of project documents or concept notes based on the needs expressed by actors at the national level, lessons learned and good practices.
