Your role and responsibilitiesAs IBM's Senior Wireless Network Architect specializing in Next Generation Networks and Network Edge Computing, you will support the deployment of next generation cellular wireless technology in enterprises, leading projects of detailed design and implementation for key industries including manufacturing, retail and distribution.Responsibilities
• You will design and implement large scale network projects that include next generation wireless technology (LTE / 5G).• Lead wireless network design activities, from site surveys to detailed architectural specification of a solution.• Understand customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them• Explore new approaches for integrating systems with existing networking technologies• Create reproducible processes and artifacts that will be used at scale to develop and advance next generation wireless networks.• Support technical sales by engaging with customers to promote the adoption of 5G technology and the use cases it enables to support a customer's digital transformation.• Work with the product offering team and customers to converge offering requirements.• Work with engineering teams to define detailed technical requirements and system level design, as well as provide architectural expertise and advice.• Liaise with clients on all technical matters relating to laboratory tests, tests and deployments.• Engage with customers to explain the technical details of our offerings and propose solutions to specific customer needs.• Work with cross-functional teams (network, cloud, software, compute) and develop technical activities for testing and deployments to customers.• Provide new, creative solutions to complex system-wide problems.• Follow (and sometimes attend) 3GPP RAN2 and RAN3 meetings

• More than 5 years of experience in the design / deployment / documentation of wireless enterprise network solutions.• More than 5 years of experience in technical consulting and project management, including a proven ability to define and shape winning solutions for clients• More than 2 years of experience leading teams in experts from other technical fields and architects• Strong technical background in the field of wireless communications.• At least one wireless network certification at a professional level (eg CWNP, CCNP Wireless, Aruba Certified Professional, etc.)• Proven experience in technical consulting and leadership, including proven ability to define and to shape winning solutions for customers• Solution Spirit - Ability to connect the dots to conceptualize a solution, value proposition and create plans
Training requirements:
• University degree in computer science, information technology, telecommunications, electronics and electricity or any other related field.
Technical and professional skills desired
